However, his heart-warming gesture towards a fan earlier in the day. The superstar cricketer was seen driving his striking blue luxury car when hundreds of fans gathered around him. Rohit took the time to wave and acknowledge their enthusiasm.
In a heart-warming moment, Rohit stopped his car, rolled down his window, and wished a female fan who mentioned she was celebrating her birthday. With a smile, he shook her hand, making her day unforgettable.
Craze among fans for Rohit
A fan was heard in a viral video clip saying, “We love you, sir.” Despite the crowd, Rohit was mindful of the busy weekday morning traffic and ensured he didn’t hold up the flow on the road.
“Thank you,” said the fan, who was thrilled to bits.
Rohit recently led India to a 2-0 series sweep against Bangladesh, extending India’s unbeaten home Test series streak to 18 since 2013. Despite rain washing out most of the second Test, Rohit’s aggressive captaincy helped the team pull off an unexpected win, ensuring they carry the momentum into the upcoming series.
The senior selection committee of the BCCI is likely to announce the squad for the three-Test series against New Zealand this week. The first Test of the series will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The second Test will be played in Pune, while the series finale will be played in Mumbai.
